Thomas Tear, Karen Jessee, and Roxanna Hurst, have been active members of the living history community for over ten years.

Karen and Roxanna’s many years of experience teaching in the public school system allows them to add a unique perspective to our programs. Thomas Tear’s experience in costume and scenic design brings historic perspective and beauty to our presentations. Karen, Roxanna, and Thomas enjoy bringing the skills learned from our shared background in theater arts to our living history programs.

Living History
All of our programs are carefully researched to avoid the "Urban Legend" approach to history. Our clothing is meticulously researched and historically documented. Karen, Roxanna and Thomas, regularly attend lectures and work shops to build on our knowledge and to keep up our programs fresh and interesting. Living history is our passion. We are proud to announce that we have recently become members of the "Delaware Humanities Forum".

We hope you enjoy your visit to Grand Oak Plantation please come back often.
